She was born in London --- London, Connecticut, that is --- and is one of the most influential figures from the early Aughts. Who doesn't remember when her first single, "Me & U" dropped and we all fell in love with Cassie? Her blend of rap, R&B, rock and other genres and styles made for a very unique listening experience. It makes sense that she'd have such an eclectic sound, given her multi-cultural background of Filipino, African-American, Mexican and West Indian. In fact, she even infused some OPM (Original Pinoy Music), sounds in some of the ballads on her debut album, "Cassie".

That album was released in 2006 and she's been a force to be reckoned with ever since. As of this writing, she's 28 years of age and has accomplished much in the realm of the entertainment business. She's even managed to come full circle with the start of her career and has been romantically linked with Diddy, who first heard single "Me & U" in a club and was convinced to partner Bad Boy Records up with her producer Ryan Lesie's NextSelection imprint.
