Kellita Smith is often referred to as "new talent,” largely on the strength of her career-making role as Wanda, Bernie Mac's saucy, fine-ass better half on Fox's hit comedy, The Bernie Mac Show. But the fact is she spent almost an entire decade working the sitcom circuit, appearing on The Parkers, Malcolm & Eddie, The Jamie Foxx Show as well as movies such as House Party III, Kingdom Come and The Crossing Guard with Jack Nicholson.

What's new for Smith is being at such a comfortable place in her career. "I'm humbly grateful to be at this level,” says the Chicago-born, Oakland-raised thespian. "This level definitely feels better than Top Ramen noodles and the 99 cent store, you know.”
