Film: What's left to say about one of the most critically acclaimed film trilogies of all time? Featuring iconic performances from Marlon Brando, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro (remember when those dudes could act?), millions of quotable lines ("Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes.") and possibly the best direction ever seen on film, these movies hold up just as well today as they did when they were first released. Forget about Scarface, this is the must-have DVD for any collection.

Featuring a massive digital overhaul done under the guidance of director Francis Ford Coppola, the trademark rich, dark cinematography of the series is perfectly restored. The set also includes a completely remastered Dolby Digital 5.1 surround mix, which brings an extra pop to every gunshot and shouting match. This revamped soundtrack is especially beneficial to Nino Rota's classic score, which sounds full and lush in this new digital format. Furthermore, this rerelease includes an extra disc loaded with special features, including a documentary on the making of the films, interviews with the creators and original behind-the-scenes featurettes. Overall, this Blu-Ray release is a perfect delivery of a true American classic.
