On Run-DMC's concerts in their heyday: It was easy to rock Madison Square Garden because we had hits. "Jam Master” Jay and me put the shows together, and our flow was always tight. None of us ever showboated, because we wanted the show to be perfect. With the exception of adding songs every few years, we did the show forever.

On brother, partner and former manager Russell Simmons: Just like today, back in the day, Russell was always doing his thing. I don't know how he did half the stuff he did. From the movie Krush Groove to getting Run-DMC on stage at Live Aid, Russell just managed to connect with people. He was always on the scene, whether it was on a Hollywood film set or in a New York nightclub. He made things happen that other people couldn't.
