As a child of NOLA, she delved into the world of pop culture and cut her teeth in the entertainment industry with her first job as radio host on 97.9 The Beat in Dallas, Texas. From then on, she'd go on to work at other radio stations before she eventually entered BET's "New Faces" contest. It was after winning this contest that she came to be the co-anchor of 106 & Park, hosting the show for six years.

She's even got her own charity, called the RocStar Foundation, which raises money to help rebuild schools that were affected by Hurricane Katrina in her hometown of New Orleans.
