George A Peters II shows his range as an actor in the one-man play, Any 1 Man - a moving piece of work that confronts the myriad of challenges faced by black men from all backgrounds. Peters, with the backing of a jazz sextet known as the Jaspects, embodies five different characters in convincing fashion. Angry, funny, sad, wise, and curious, each man is, as the title says, any one man, and if you are not one of the characters played by Peters, you know someone who is. Even presidential hopeful and U.S. Senator Barack Obama has commended the play's grand mission, saying, "Black men face a unique set of challenges in America today. You are engaging difficult issues head on, and I commend [Any 1 Man] for that." For more information about the show, click here.
