Even in Martin Lawrence's galaxy of irritating sidekicks—cryptic Tommy, financially strapped Cole, and all 1,347 or so of Martin's personas—Bro Man stood tall. Though he came through the window, shat, shaved and showered in Martin's house, you never once cringed, wishing Marty-Mar would get a decent security system.

"Everybody knows a pest who comes over to your house or your job,” says Reginald Ballard, who played black America's answer to Kramer on Martin. "He wasn't trying to cause you grief. That's just his style: He thinks it's all family, it's all good.”
